Limpets are Gastropods (snails & slugs) in the invertebrate phylum Mollusca, which is the largest phylum of invertebrate animals after Arthropods. They are aquatic snails with a flattened, cone-shaped shell and a single, muscular foot. They can often be found firmly adhered to rocks in coastal habitats. Illustrated here are Patella depressa, Patella vulgata, Patella aspera (ulyssopensis), Acmaea testudinalis (tessulata), Patella pellucida
