was enchanted by this sweet fellow, Semach, when visiting Monkey World in Dorset recently. It is a fantastic rescue centre and sanctuary for monkeys and apes, with several thriving groups of chimps, orang-utans, wooly monkeys and many more. Individuals have been rescued from a host of dire situations from around the world and now have found a place in Southern England where they socialise and help to raise awareness about important conservation issues affecting their species.
Semach was rescued from Israel where he was smuggled for the illegal pet trade. Read more about him and Monkey World in the Portfolio- with links to how to adopt a primate!
